Every child deserves the chance to play, belong, and experience the joy of sports.

The Iron Mike Youth Sports Foundation is changing how we support individual children. We will no longer award individual grants directly. Instead, as an approved Community Partner of One Simple Wish, we can submit sports wishes on behalf of eligible children.

Who is this opportunity for?

One Simple Wish supports children and young people affected by foster care, significant hardship, trauma, or serious family challenges. This may include families facing significant financial difficulties, homelessness, the loss of a parent, or other crises.

We understand that sports can be expensive for many families. However, difficulty paying for sports alone may not meet the program’s eligibility requirements. Wishes must meet our foundation’s criteria for submission, and the child must reside within our service area of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut.

How does it work?

Complete the questionnaire below to tell us about your child, your family’s circumstances, and the sports participation fees or equipment they need.

We will review your request and follow up with you before submitting an eligible wish to One Simple Wish. Once submitted, One Simple Wish reviews wishes and, if approved, posts them on their website for donors to grant. Information you provide about your child, your family’s circumstances, and the wish may be used in that public posting. Please do not include any personal details in your questionnaire responses that you would not want shared on the One Simple Wish website.
